What Is SureDerm™?
SureDerm™
is acellular human dermis, which is intended for the repair or replacement
of damaged soft tissue.
SureDerm™, can be used as a substitute for autograft with its
equal usage, effect and safety while it solves donor site trauma followed
by autograft.
SureDerm
.... is processed human skin by a special process of high technology.
Main purpose of this technological process is to be easily transplanted
without rejection by eliminating the Immune response.
When heating completed, SureDerm™eventually becomes the patient's
own tissue.
Technology
Human skin
has a highly complicated structure of epidermis which contacts first
to the external environment and dermis which is 1-2mm in thickness and
located in lower layer of epidermis.
Dermis contains connective tissue including a complex matrix of collagen,
elastin, laminin of bioactive protein and blood vessels so that it conducts
very important role to make human skin resilient and functional. SureDerm™
remains this biological dermal matrix from donated human skin while
it keeps no cells regulating the immune response. Therefore SureDermllol
can be transplanted smoothly without any rejection and serves as tissue
reconstruction. The main process to make these possible Is decellutarization
and lyophilization using a patented technology of Hans Biomed Corp.
SureDerm™ for
Graft
The necessary
materials for the technique:
two sterile dishes, rehydration fluid of at least 100ml sterile saline,
sterile forceps.
The
Rehydration
- Soak
the tissue completely into at least 5Oml of rehydration fluid sterile
normal saline when SureOerm"' is 21Cm) or smaller and at least
100ml when over 21cm for about 10 minutes before use.
- Treat
the wound clean to avoid no active bleeding.
- Place
the dermal side of graft on to the wound bed.
Set
the dermatone for the thinnest 0.02mms autograft and first secure SureDerm™
then place autograft and secure this one as welt using sutures or staples.
- The correct
orientation of dermal side.
- Drop
a blood to both sides of the graft and rinse with rehydration solution.
- The dermal
side will be ready to absorb blood, while the basement membrane appear
pink.
Dressing
the wound
- 1st dressing:
Gauze impregnated with petrolatum, gentamicin or triple·antibiotic
oinment.
- 2nd dressing:
Gauze wrap damped with saline.
- 3rd dressing:
Dry gauze wrap.
- Change
dressing: To ensure optimum engraftment, you can remove the innermost
layer of dressing on day 5-7, the outer layers of the dressing may
require 2·3 days changing to prevent accumulation of fluid
and bacteria.
SureDerm™ for Implant
After full
rehydration (same as SureDermu™ for graft), shape the tissue rolled
or folded to the desired thickness.
